TOTAL COST OF LIGHTING IN A YEAR : 58.880 USD A system was implemented in the headquarters with a capacity allowing 60 lines and 72 switch controls in each floor with a total of 1.680 lines and 2.016 swith controls in the building. 220 units that are seperated with 10 routers are being used and gained power savings with the total of 40 light points. The automation system has the capability to manage 114.000 I/O points in the building. Power saving in a year : 470.400 kw TOTAL SAVED AMOUNT IN A YEAR:23.520 USD * It is assumed that the power cost for 1 hour is 0.05 USD
SABANCI UNIVERSITY - GEBZE / ISTANBUL
Total of 12 routers were providing data flow between central controller and local modules. After the design process it’ s become clear that there was a risk of failure for the central controller which may cause all the system halt. With that observation a system was designed which gives the control for each module to continue working as stand-alone units in an eventual failure of the central controller. Lighting switches were chosen as pulse sending powerless type for the on/off operations which also was anticipated as EEC standards. Total of 470 modules controlling the 4.500 output points were used.
Software : The control software which includes graphical interfaces was developed specificially. Different levels of access types are protected with passwords and with the pre-given software to the calender, it is possible to operate the system as desired in the specific days like holidays, weekends etc. It provides a general overview for every floor about the armatures, parts and groups even if a command was given to any armature via the graphics. The whole operation is commanded from a center. Regional user can connect to the system to control the lighting from every point. Every switching unit has a different number in the system. Real time observation makes it possible to calculate for any of the armatures online time duration. Central computer can configure every output point without the necessity to intervent the software output modules. This makes it possible to adjust each armature without touching the cables in case of table layout changes. When the EOL of an lamp approaches software can alert the user about this situation which results the less inventory cost and data for the planned maintenance. Besides that tests can be done for the emergency lighting centrally.
YAPI KREDI DATA CENTER - GEBZE / ISTANBUL
The lighting management and coordination project of a closed area of 25.000 square meters was implemented. The average response time for this system of 13.000 output points is 10 – 20 miliseconds. The system structure is composed of a central controller and sub-controllers connected to it. Though the floor controllers have the capacity to control 128 modules composed of 8 inputs and 8 outputs 50 – 55 modules are used in order to prevent the possible problems on the floors. For the general control of the system the previously used unintelligent components were replaced with the intelligent ones which have a 115 Kbps data communication rate that ensuring high level of control. The failed components of the system can also be monitored with the central software.
HUGO BOSS FACTORIES - GAZIEMIR / IZMIR
The system is composed of 880 line controls over 110 modules in the 11 parts that communicate with the center in a rate of 115 Kbps. With the help of central software, the system actively working in a 35.000 square meters area can be monitored. Failures related to the modules can also be monitored real-time with the central PC and this enables to take precautions. There are 2 centers in the system because of the need to control two factories. In the event of a failure of one of these centers the other one can handle the whole operation. It can also form and save reports multiple times a day with the gained information from all control units.
